The Brooklyn-based nine-piece powerhouse, Turkuaz, delivers immensely danceable horn-filled soul- funk incorporating elements of R & B, psychedelic pop, gospel, Afro-pop, new wave and classic rock. Charismatically dressed in bright outfits that are as colorful as their expressive voice, and with choreographed dance moves, the band puts on a bombastic performance that rides like a summer carnival on a Saturday night, spinning, climbing, rotating and revolving. They’ve got potent grooves, alluring aesthetics, and an engine that constantly fires on all pistons. Turkuaz has made impactful appearances at Bonnaroo, Red Rocks, Lock'n and Mountain Jam, and have been filling venues coast to coast from Terminal 5 in New York to The Fillmore in San Francisco. Turkuaz is Dave Brandwein (guitar), Taylor Shell (bass), Craig Brodhead (guitar, keyboards), Michelangelo Carubba (drums). Chris Brouwers (trumpet, keyboards), Greg Sanderson (tenor sax), Josh Schwartz (baritone sax), Sammi Garett (vocals) and Shira Elias (vocals).
