About Tour de Forks
Throughout the Tour de Forks events of the summer, food and architectural enthusiasts visit a variety of private homes and dine on epicurean delights. The hottest trending chefs from Crested Butte, Kansas City, Aspen, Denver, and Gunnison strut their stuff in the freedom of Tour de Forks to showcase their greatest and most creative talents. Homes range from sharp modern décor and design, to ornate renditions reminiscent of medieval times. Throughout the Tour you may travel to an authentic Argentinian asado at a pastoral ranch, or an haute cuisine immersion with Oysters Rockefeller. During this our 15th season, many events feature sommelier paired wine tastings to perfectly complement every delicious morsel.
TOUR DE FORKS EVENTS
"[Hosting a Tour de Forks event] was one of the best things we ever did in Crested Butte. It was the highlight of our new home, and the opportunity of meeting the community supporters, the volunteers, and of course the Chef, was an absolutely wonderful experience we will never forget." - Mary Lou Blaharski
Dawn to Dusk Golf Challenge - August 22, 2016A memorable stop on the Tour is the Dawn to Dusk Golf Challenge in August. The event is a 100-hole golf event whereby 36 lucky golfers secure sponsorships per-hole. Golfers have so much time to play 100 holes; and sponsors pledge $1, $2, $5 or more per hole.
Golfers play for free but must secure $1,000 in sponsorship to play. This minimum sponsorship also gives them admission to the Player & Sponsor Celebration Party.
Sponsors pledge as little at $100 to a golfer in order to attend the spectacular Player & Sponsor Celebration Party at the end of the day. The party includes food and music.

The Tour's ImpactThe Center for the Arts must raise close to 40% of its operating budget through fundraisers and contributions. The Tour de Forks is a cornerstone of these revenue generators. Funds raised support the Center's 650 events (of which 290 are produced by The Center), rentals, classes, and rehearsals that serve over 40,000 people. Our diverse Center Productions engage residents and visitors while Alpenglow, our free outdoor concert series, welcomes thousands every summer in a community gathering of music appreciation. Through our partnership with the Crested Butte Film Festival, we help bring independent films that invite discussions, spark creativity, and promote cultural, social, and environmental awareness to the community. Additionally, hundreds of students of all ages have found expression through dance classes with the Crested Butte Dance Collective and art classes through The Art Studio of the Center for the Arts. Our two galleries - The Piper Gallery at the Center and the ASCA Gallery at The Art Studio - offer local and regional artists venues to display their work.
We are grateful to the volunteers who help prep, serve, and clean; the homeowners who open their doors; and the chefs that take time away from their restaurants to offer their skill and expertise without pay. And you, our attendee, the supporter who craves fine food and a desire to support our mission.
Thank you to all our volunteers and attendees who make these events not only possible, but successful. Bon Appétit!
